The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Valhar gets the takedown into side control.
Jones is looking to reverse the position.
Jones can't do much from the bottom here.
Valhar tries to advance to mount but Jones denies him.
Jones is looking for a sweep.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Jones is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Valhar has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Valhar!
