And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Aafke Stam and Paulsen Ambrosius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jakua swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Jakua lands with a shot to the body.
Michaels throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Michaels lands a high kick!

It looks like Kris Jakua has been cut.
Jakua fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Michaels manages to avoid it.
Michaels thows a left - swing and a miss!
Jakua throws a shot from downtown. Michaels moves away and avoids it.
Jakua throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Jakua sizes up Michaels with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Michaels takes a body punch but keeps moving.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Michaels fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Jakua.
Jakua takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Jakua just misses with a punch to the body.
Michaels swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Michaels lands a really nice looking cross but Jakua seems unphased.
Jakua walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Michaels lands with a good body shot.
Jakua getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Michaels tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jakua was well out of range. Poor timing from Michaels.
Michaels lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Michaels throws the left hand but Jakua avoids the punch easily.
Jakua lands with a nice body punch.

Michaels catches Jakua napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Jakua to the canvas!

Jakua is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Michaels gets to his feet - Jakua follows without any prompting.
Jakua is still on wobbly legs! Can Michaels finish him?
Michaels with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Jakua looks gassed!
Jakua takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Michaels lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Jakua up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Michaels from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Jakua's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Chez Michaels!
