Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Flare (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Iam Getcha (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Donald Grub and James Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Flare or perhaps it was just good defense by Getcha which made him look bad.

Flare shoots in and gets a takedown into Getcha's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Getcha trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Flare wants to control from the top but Getcha keeps moving.
Getcha striking off his back but it's not causing Flare any problems.
Getcha keeping moving, preventing Flare from controlling successfully.
Flare is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Getcha is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Getcha looking to hit a scissor sweep but Flare is one step ahead there.

We're going to have a standup here because John Flare wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Getcha fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Flare sprawls well initially but Getcha persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Flare wants to control but Getcha is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Flare has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Getcha is working away from the top position though.
Flare is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Flare is looking for a sweep. Getcha is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Getcha seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Getcha seems to be working for a kimura but Flare defends the submission attempt.

Flare shoots for a double leg takedown but Getcha sprawls well. He's pushed Flare's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Getcha throws a right hand that Flare ducks under and follows up with a left that Flare also avoids with ease.
Flare tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Flare stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Flare wants it to stay on the feet.

Getcha closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Getcha swings wildly with an uppercut but Flare uses good head movement to avoid it.
Getcha jumps guard but Flare stands there with Getcha around his waist. Getcha gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
John Flare has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Iam Getcha.

Getcha is looking to clinch but Flare is avoiding it.

Iam Getcha seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Getcha tries to clinch but Flare is having none of it.
Getcha throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Getcha throws a right hand that Flare ducks under and follows up with a left that Flare also avoids with ease.
Getcha misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Flare dives in and grabs Getcha's left leg, looking for a takedown. Getcha pushes down on Flare's head and hops out.
Getcha tries to close the distance and clinch but Flare swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Getcha takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Flare shoots in but no luck this time.
Flare fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Getcha has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Getcha on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Flare shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Getcha sprawls well. Getcha wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Flare gets slowly back to his feet.

Flare is bucking up trying to escape but Getcha cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
