Juntunen comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Lumessakahlaajat kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Arvi Lind and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Juntunen lands the left hand.
Juntunen dips to his left and cracks Gold with an uppercut!
Juntunen throws a head kick that half lands.
It looks like Mr Gold has been cut.
Juntunen throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Tomi Juntunen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gold displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Juntunen throws out the jab.
Juntunen misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Juntunen throws a sloppy head kick and Gold moves out of range easily.
Gold scores with a punch to the head.
Juntunen swings for the body but Gold moves out of range.
Juntunen takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Juntunen thows a left - swing and a miss!
Gold scores a takedown into full mount!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Gold misses with a head shot.
Gold looking to ground and pound but Juntunen is blocking nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gold throws some wild stikes that Juntunen manages to avoid easily.
Gold has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Juntunen wants to hold on but Gold pushes him away.
Gold misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Juntunen avoids a strike by Gold and manages to complete a very nice reversal in the process, to end up in Gold's guard! Fantastic escape!
Gold working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Juntunen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Gold is tightening it up a little... Juntunen has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Juntunen reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Juntunen taps out! Nice BJJ there by Gold!
