The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hamilton closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hamilton lands in his opponent's guard.

FernandoSilva stands and throws Hamilton's legs to the side, diving into side control.

FernandoSilva throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

FernandoSilva is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hamilton is just riding it out for now. FernandoSilva eventually gives up the hold.

FernandoSilva sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Marc Timothy FernandoSilva has got the better of the ground game so far.
FernandoSilva wants to control the pace but Hamilton is squirming around nicely.

FernandoSilva working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Hamilton turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips FernandoSilva off and cradles Hamilton's limp body as FernandoSilva celebrates with his corner.
