Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jay Garcia!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Sailo Damtea!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Colin Fray and Roger Salmon.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick from Damtea lands but Garcia takes it in his stride.
Garcia blocks a head kick by Damtea.
Damtea fails with an attempt to clinch.
Damtea fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Garcia has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Damtea feints and then cracks Garcia's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Garcia down.
Sailo Damtea seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Damtea throws a leg kick that misses.
Damtea is looking to clinch but Garcia is avoiding it.
Garcia dodges the punch combination from Damtea.
Garcia shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Damtea as he jumps to the side.
Garcia blocks a head kick by Damtea.
Damtea throws a right hand that Garcia ducks under and follows up with a left that Garcia also avoids with ease.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Damtea.
Damtea tries to clinch there but Garcia circles away.
Damtea throws a series of punches but Garcia moves out of range.
Damtea lands with a nice body kick.
Damtea shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Garcia but Garcia pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Garcia is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Damtea is trying to escape and Garcia transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Damtea is forced to tap! Nice work there by Garcia! Very nice indeed!
