Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Paul Bearinstein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Murth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Murth has chosen Enemy as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Paul Bearinstein!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Adam Murth!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Murth drives through with a takedown into Bearinstein's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Murth postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Murth stops Bearinstein from standing up.
Murth sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Bearinstein's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bearinstein is pressing down on Murth's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Bearinstein is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Murth in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Murth postures up in Bearinstein's guard and throws a big left but Bearinstein blocks it.

Murth is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Bearinstein sees it coming and defends easily.

Murth slips a nice elbow through Bearinstein's hands, connecting with Bearinstein's forehead.
Murth is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Murth wants to free his trapped foot but Bearinstein is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Murth has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Bearinstein is trying to stand up here but Murth is controlling him well.
Bearinstein is staying active underneath Murth, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Murth looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Bearinstein with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Murth is pressing down on Bearinstein's thigh, looking to free his foot. Bearinstein is holding on for now.

Murth is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Murth is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bearinstein is just riding it out for now. Murth eventually gives up the hold.

Murth is stalling here. Bearinstein is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Murth seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Bearinstein has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Murth is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Bearinstein is figuring out what he wants to do next.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Murth blocks a head kick by Bearinstein.
Bearinstein throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Murth sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Murth throws a hook but Bearinstein avoids it easily.
Murth takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Bearinstein throws a lazy right hand but Murth sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
A combination from Murth does no damage.
Bearinstein misses with a body shot
and Murth counters with a left to the body.
Bearinstein thows a body shot but no joy.
Bearinstein throws a poor cross that misses

and Murth counters with a nice double leg into side control. Bearinstein won't be happy with that.
Murth cracks Bearinstein with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Adam Murth has got the better of the ground game so far.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bearinstein is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Murth off and has taken his back!

Murth wants to control his opponent's hands but Bearinstein gets his hands free.
Bearinstein is trying to stick to Murth's back but Murth is turning into Bearinstein. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Bearinstein's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Murth.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Murth scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Bearinstein tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Bearinstein misses with an uppercut. Murth saw that one coming.

Paul Bearinstein seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bearinstein throws the kick towards the body but Murth avoids it.

Murth will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Bearinstein loads up on a big right hand but Murth slips the punch.

Murth lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Bearinstein backs up against the cage.
Bearinstein ducks under a wild hook from Murth.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bearinstein throws a head kick but Murth moves out of range.
Murth drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Bearinstein gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Murth to score an easy takedown into full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Adam Murth showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Murth isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Bearinstein stacks Murth on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Bearinstein!

Bearinstein throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Murth misses with a two punch combination.
Bearinstein is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Murth has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Bearinstein.
Bearinstein bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Murth's head backwards.

Bearinstein throws a sloppy head kick and Murth moves out of range easily.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Murth is defended easily by Bearinstein.

and Murth counters with a single leg into guard. Bearinstein didn't expect that.
Murth tries to free his leg and advance position but Bearinstein is retaining full guard.
Murth wants to control from the top but Bearinstein keeps moving.
Bearinstein manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Bearinstein trying to control but Murth is having none of it.
Adam Murth is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Paul Bearinstein has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Bearinstein avoids the attempt from Murth to control.
Bearinstein pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Murth wants to hold on but Bearinstein pushes him away.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Paul Bearinstein.
I think Murth has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
