The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cooney ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Claudio moves away.
Claudio tries to bum rush Cooney with a series of wild strikes but Cooney uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Cooney throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Cooney shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Claudio as he avoids it easily.
Claudio takes a kick to the side of the head.

Cooney throws the left hand but Claudio avoids the punch easily.
Cooney stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
