The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Afshar lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Texas circles away quickly and effectively.
Texas avoids the head kick by Afshar.
Texas takes a swing at Afshar's ribcage but misses.
Texas is looking to land body kicks.
Texas digs a good hook to Afshar's body.
Texas avoids a kick to the body.
Afshar throws the left hand but Texas avoids the punch easily.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Texas.
Afshar throws a right and a left that both miss.
Texas throws a sloppy head kick and Afshar moves out of range easily.
Texas swings and misses with a hook to the body.
No joy there for Afshar, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Ezequiel Afshar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Afshar misses with a few strikes there.
Afshar misses the shot to the body.
Nice uppercut there from Texas.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Texas tries to land a front kick but Afshar steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Texas lands a nice hook to Afshar's body. Afshar takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Texas lands a big head kick that sends Afshar tumbling to the mat! Texas takes a step backwards and waves Afshar back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Oh Afshar is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Texas sends Afshar crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Texas is motioning to the referee to let Afshar up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
A slapping leg kick lands for Texas.
Texas clobbers Afshar with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Texas ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Afshar seems to have got his legs back now.
Texas is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Afshar rather than just go for the knockout.

Texas and Afshar are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Texas throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Afshar into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Texas knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.
