Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Reggie Smalls (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Masters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Reggie Smalls!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chris Masters!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Dean Styles and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smalls throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Masters.
Masters misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Masters connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Masters takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Masters throws a low kick but it's checked well by Smalls.
Smalls on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Smalls takes a swing at Masters's ribcage but misses.
Masters pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Masters uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Smalls has time to react.


It looks like Reggie Smalls has been cut.
Smalls tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Smalls tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Chris Masters seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smalls avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

Smalls bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Smalls has hold of Masters's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Masters tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Smalls cranks the arm and Masters screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Masters, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
