Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Xavier Essien (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Willians Trautman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Trautman comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Bolt Thrower - No guts, no glory kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Essien with a poor takedown
and Trautman counters with a two punch combo.
The fighters circle momentarily. Trautman darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Trautman manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Essien on his heels. He'll look to pass Essien's guard now, I'm sure.
Essien is looking to sweep but instead, Trautman has passed into half guard.

Trautman is working for a kimura but Essien is defending it quite comfortably.
Trautman tries to pass the half guard into mount. Essien knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Trautman is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Trautman wants to work for an arm triangle but Essien is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Trautman is working for a kimura but Essien is defending it quite comfortably.

Trautman is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Essien tries to get to full guard but Trautman has control of the leg.
Trautman slips a nice elbow through Essien's hands, connecting with Essien's forehead.
Trautman is pressing down on Essien's thigh, looking to free his foot. Essien is holding on for now.
Essien is looking to improve his position.

Trautman in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Essien tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Trautman!
