Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Atvars Misa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davis has chosen Eminem - Lose Yourself as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Atvars Misa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Marcus Davis!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Steve Smith and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Davis swinging wildly here.

Misa shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Davis is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Misa controlling the position easily from mount.
Davis is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Misa sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Davis wants to control but Misa is having none of it.

Misa stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Davis shoots in and drives through. Misa sprawls well.

Misa gets the takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Davis is trying to improve his position.

A lull in the action here as Misa stalls from top position.
Davis is trying to improve his position.
Davis can't do much from the bottom here.
Davis is looking to regain half guard here but Misa keeps moving and retains side control.
Davis is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Davis tries to escape but Misa is in control.
Davis is not content to let Misa control the position.
Davis manages to get back to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Misa is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Davis is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Davis works his way to full guard. Good work.
Davis is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Misa stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Davis swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Davis has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Misa can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Misa is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Davis had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Misa defends it easily.
Davis is trying to control the position but Misa postures up.

Davis escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Misa gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Davis looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Misa is defending well. Davis quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Misa has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Davis celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Marcus Davis!
