Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Happy Henry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rocky Patterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Henry shoots in but no luck this time.
Happy Henry seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Patterson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Patterson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Henry sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Patterson somewhat.
Henry throws a series of strikes that have Patterson backpedaling.
Henry looks for a takedown but Patterson sprawls well.
Patterson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Henry swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Patterson swats away the attempt to clinch by Henry.
Henry has a takedown stuffed.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Happy Henry. That's going to take a lot out of him.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Patterson enables Henry to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Patterson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Patterson wants to stand and escape but Henry is having none of it.

Henry tries to close the distance and clinch up but Patterson swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Patterson is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Henry.

It looks like Rocky Patterson has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Henry will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Henry moves out of range as Patterson strikes.

Patterson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Henry pinned against the cage. Henry gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Henry throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Patterson was covering up waiting for the punch and Henry finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Henry avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Henry goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Patterson shoots in and drives through. Henry sprawls well.
A right-left combo lands from Henry.

Henry fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Patterson, pushing him back against the cage.
Henry wants to break free but Patterson has control.
Henry will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Patterson up against the cage.

Henry breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Henry looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Patterson is fending him off so far but Henry persists. Nope, Patterson circles away and we're back to standing.
Henry swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Henry shoots in and gets a takedown into Patterson's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Patterson has his hands on Henry's head, controlling the position.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Patterson is on top in guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Henry shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Patterson's guard.
Henry's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Patterson has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Henry doesn't defend quickly enough and Patterson has managed to lock this one up! Can Henry escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Patterson on a fantastic submission victory.
