Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brick Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ruffo Guttierez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ruffo Guttierez!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Summer Carpenter and Hugh Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good leg kick by Taylor there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Taylor dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Guttierez. That did some damage!

Taylor has Guttierez up against the cage in a clinch.
Guttierez wants to break free but Taylor has control.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Taylor.

It looks like Ruffo Guttierez has been cut.
Taylor unloads a knee to the mid-section. Guttierez lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Taylor lands a damaging elbow.

Guttierez is trying to push Taylor away but Taylor has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
A head punch on the inside from Guttierez fails to land.
Taylor creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Guttierez's defenses.
Taylor keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Guttierez's efforts to push away.
Taylor manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Taylor lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Taylor has Guttierez pressed against the cage. He pushes Guttierez back and as he springs towards him off the cage, Taylor throws a beautiful elbow that sends Guttierez crashing to the floor! Taylor piles on the pressure with more strikes! Guttierez is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brick Taylor!
A relieved looking Brick Taylor thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
