Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Billy Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Connor McManus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McManus is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Jeff Danna - 'The Blood of Cú Chulainn'. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Billy Bob!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Connor McManus!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Ian Loll and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bob tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. McManus manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
McManus throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Bob counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Bob misses with some punches.
Bob throws a punch but it's blocked by McManus.
A short uppercut from Bob.
Bob misses with a punch to the body.
McManus is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Bob is defending well.
Bob swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Bob lands with a left to the head.
Bob misses with a hook from the clinch.
Still in the clinch, McManus scores with a nice short uppercut.
Bob lands a right hand that snaps the head of McManus backwards.

McManus is fighting off a takedown attempt but Bob is just too persistent for him and manages to trip McManus to the mat. McManus regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

A momentary lapse in concentration from McManus enables Bob to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. McManus manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Bob has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Bob goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now McManus is on top in guard.

Bob pushes a forearm under McManus's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, McManus is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
