The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Elsworth throws a looping overhand right but Alexandrov ducks down to avoid it.
Elsworth throws a head kick but Alexandrov moves out of range.
Alexandrov throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Alexandrov ducks under a wild hook from Elsworth.
Elsworth just misses with a punch to the body.

A frustrated look appears on Alexandrov's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Elsworth throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Alexandrov stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

and Alexandrov counters with an outside leg kick.
Elsworth lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Elsworth lands a lovely overhand right.
Elsworth throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Alexandrov stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Elsworth.

Elsworth thows a body shot but no joy.
Alexandrov misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Elsworth cracks a nice hook into Alexandrov's ribs.
Elsworth lands a right hook to the body.
Elsworth throws a hook to the side of Alexandrov's head but Alexandrov sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Alexandrov throws a leg kick but Elsworth sees it coming and moves out of range.
Elsworth scores with a decent looking hook.
A punch lands to the side of Alexandrov 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Elsworth misses the shot to the body.
Elsworth doesn't manage to clinch there - Alexandrov circles away.
Elsworth buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Alexandrov misses with a looping right.
Elsworth throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Elsworth missing with a left hand there. Alexandrov was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Rob Elsworth is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Elsworth just misses with a punch to the body.
Elsworth fakes the leg kick and cracks Alexandrov in the body.

Elsworth swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Alexandrov fails with the takedown.
Alexandrov moves out of range of the body kick.

and Alexandrov counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Alexandrov prevents Elsworth from getting back to his feet.
Alexandrov stays in close to Elsworth's body and controls the position.
Alexandrov throws an elbow that misses. Elsworth uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Alexandrov's guard. Nice move by Elsworth!

Alexandrov is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Elsworth trying to control the position from guard on top but Alexandrov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Alexandrov throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Alexandrov has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Elsworth can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Alexandrov is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rob Elsworth dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Elsworth scores with a jab. Alexandrov acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Elsworth wants to slow Alexandrov down by chopping away at his legs.
Elsworth closes the distance looking to clinch
letting Alexandrov counter with a right hand.

Alexandrov takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Alexandrov fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Elsworth is out of range.

Alexandrov shoots in and bounces Elsworth off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Elsworth knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Alexandrov on the ground.
Alexandrov throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Elsworth works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
