The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Groove gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Plavc counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Groove!
Plavc sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Plavc stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
Groove dodges the punch combination from Plavc.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Plavc is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Groove is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Plavc shoots for a double leg takedown but Groove sprawls well. He's pushed Plavc's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Kendall Groove has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Musi Plavc.

Plavc has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Groove after a bit of a struggle.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Groove lands an elbow that stopped Plavc in his tracks for a moment.

Groove takes control of his opponent's neck and spins him into the cage. Plavc is off balance and as he stumbles, Groove throws a jumping knee that lands flush on Plavc's chin, knocking him out cold! Oh my word - what a knockout! Definitely one for his highlight reel! If he ever decides to rob a bank and run off to Morocco, that moment is defintely worthy of a tacky mural!
