Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Frank Romo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tito Boris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tito Boris has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Frank Romo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tito Boris!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Josh West and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Boris gets the takedown into side control.
The strikes coming from Boris are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Boris sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Romo is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Boris throwing strikes but Romo manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
Boris bucks up and tries to throw Romo off but instead Romo has got his back!
Boris is keeping busy.
Boris covering up well under a barage of strikes.
Romo somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.
Boris is trying to get back to his feet but Romo has full control of the position and if anything, Boris has just worked his way into a worse spot.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Romo is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Boris is defending well though. Romo let's go of the attempt for now.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Boris tries to roll but Romo sticks to his back.
Romo is trying to stick to Boris's back but Boris is turning into Romo. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Romo's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Boris.
Boris postures up in Romo's guard and throws a big left but Romo blocks it.

Romo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Romo throws a right and a left that both miss.
Nice takedown defense from Boris. No joy for Romo on that attempt.
Boris throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Romo's waist but Romo gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Boris off to one side.

Romo throws a one two combo.
Romo misses with a two punch combination.
Romo is breathing heavily.

Boris forces Romo back against the cage and clinches.
Romo is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Boris gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Romo tries to break the clinch but Boris is controlling the position.
Boris stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Boris breaks from the clinch.
Boris pivots, looking for a leg kick but Romo is out of range and Boris settles back down.
Boris throws a nice looking combination but Romo bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Boris tries to clinch but Romo is having none of it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Boris throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Romo.
Romo misses with a body shot.
A clash of legs there as Boris blocks the low kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Frank Romo dominated that round.
That's time! Romo's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Romo avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Boris tries to clinch up.
Romo rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Boris moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Boris shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Romo as he jumps to the side.
Boris tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Boris slips a jab and a cross from Romo.
Boris throws a push kick but Romo slaps the foot to one side.
Romo shoots in for a double leg but Boris sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Boris with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Romo to score with a decent uppercut.
Boris shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Romo but Romo pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Romo fails to land the takedown.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Romo checks the leg kick.

Romo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Boris circles away quickly and effectively.
The fight stays on the outside here - Boris looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Boris lands a jab to Romo's midsection.

Boris shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Boris is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Romo can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Frank Romo overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Romo takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Boris has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Romo's face.
Boris connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Boris cracks Romo with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Boris has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Romo's face.
Oh Romo is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Boris unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Romo wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Boris celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tito Boris!
