Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sub Artist (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cool Runnings (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Runnings is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Damian Marley - Welcom to Jamrock . Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Runnings.
Runnings looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Artist throws a hook to the side of Runnings's head but Runnings sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Cool Runnings seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Artist gets in close and instigates a clinch.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Runnings manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Runnings jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Artist walks away with a smile on his face. Runnings gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Runnings takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Artist takes a swing at Runnings's ribcage but misses.

Artist lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

It looks like Cool Runnings has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Artist has had enough of the clinch but Runnings keeps him there for the moment.
Runnings tries to pull guard but Artist forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

and Artist connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Artist scores with the left hand. Runnings knows he should have avoided that one.
Artist looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Artist ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Runnings moves away.
Artist rushes Runnings with punches - Runnings moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Runnings goes down! Artist follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sub Artist!
