Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ken Hall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hall comes to the cage accompanied by Fire storm. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ken Hall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Anthony Griffin!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Arvi Lind and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hall tries to score a power double leg takedown but Griffin sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hall somewhat.
Hall displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Griffin.
Griffin shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Hall counters with a single leg into guard. Griffin didn't expect that.
Griffin keeping moving, preventing Hall from controlling successfully.
Hall is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Griffin looking for a guillotine here but Hall defends easily.
Hall is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Hall trying to control the position from guard on top but Griffin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hall passes easily into side control. Nice work.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Griffin tries to control but Hall manages to take his back.

It looks like Anthony Griffin has been cut.
Hall lands strikes to the head.
Hall is controlling the position but Griffin somehow manages to roll and ends up with half guard.
Griffin is staying active underneath Hall, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Hall seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Griffin wants to get back to his feet.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Griffin shoots and misses

and Hall decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Griffin's guard.
Ken Hall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anthony Griffin.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Hall wants to control from the top but Griffin keeps moving.

Hall stands and steps away. Griffin gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

and Hall counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Hall lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Griffin trying to keep a closed guard but Hall is proving a slippery customer.
Hall is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Hall tries to free his leg and advance position but Griffin is retaining full guard.

Hall has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Griffin has momentary wrist control but Hall slips an elbow through the middle.

Hall stands up over Griffin, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Griffin thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Griffin has an active guard here but Hall has managed to pass into half guard.
Griffin is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Hall wants to control but Griffin is keeping him busy.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Well, if Hall is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Griffin manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Griffin wants to clinch up but Hall keeps it at a distance.
Griffin throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.


It looks like Ken Hall has been cut.
Griffin throws a right hand that Hall ducks under and follows up with a left that Hall also avoids with ease.
Hall fails with a takedown attempt.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Griffin has his takedown stuffed

and Hall counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Griffin looks gassed!
Hall with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Hall stops Griffin from standing up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ken Hall dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Griffin doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Hall counters with a single leg into guard. Griffin didn't expect that.
Griffin not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Griffin is looking to stand up but Hall isn't so interested in that idea.
Hall with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Griffin looking for a sweep. Not yet Griffin, not yet.
Hall wants to pass the guard but Griffin is keeping the position.

Griffin isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Hall stacks Griffin on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Hall!

Hall in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Griffin prevents Hall from improving position.

Hall grinds an elbow into Griffin's temple.
Hall wants to control but Griffin is keeping him busy.

Hall tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hall has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Griffin tries to escape but Hall is in control.
Griffin tries to bench press Hall off him but Hall keeps the position.

Ken Hall overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Griffin wants to control but Hall postures up.
Hall has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Hall is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Griffin can do to turn this around?

Hall takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Hall fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!


That has opened up Anthony Griffin's cut even more.
Hall looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.


The cut above Anthony Griffin's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Anthony Griffin's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:46 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Ken Hall!
As Ken Hall got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: And once again I wanna thank my opponent for holding it down and and by it I mean my weiner!!! Oh man you must have a weakness against guys named Ken Hall.Time to hang it up Griffen!!'.
