The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pounder rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Pimpson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Pounder avoids the head kick by Pimpson.

Pounder scores with a jab to the jaw.

Pounder tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Robert Pounder seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pounder throws a series of punches but Pimpson moves out of range.
Pounder shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Pimpson as he jumps to the side.
Pimpson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Pimpson shoots in and bounces Pounder off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Pounder knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pimpson on the ground.
Pimpson passes Pounder's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Pounder is breathing heavily.

Pimpson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
