Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nick House (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Donald Stewart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). House comes to the cage accompanied by Sleezy D - I've Lost Control. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nick House!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Donald Stewart!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

House gets in close and instigates a clinch.
House fails to pull the fight into his guard.
House has Stewart pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Stewart manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Stewart tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Stewart tries to pull guard but House holds him up against the cage and eventually Stewart drops back down to his feet.

Stewart breaks the clinch.
House circles away from the clinch attempt.

Stewart shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. House is trying to defend but Stewart finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
House is looking to control Stewart's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can House avoid being mounted?
House is looking for a sweep. Stewart is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
House makes his way to full guard. A much better position for House.

House kicks Stewart off and gets to his feet.

House has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Stewart is trying to keep an underhook but House manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Stewart not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
House stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Stewart swivels though and keeps the full guard.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
House looks to land a right hand but Stewart moved out of range.
House tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Stewart manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

House looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Stewart gets back to full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
House seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

That was a close round but I would say that Nick House will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Stewart doesn't succeed with the takedown

and House counters with a nice double leg into guard.

House is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
House sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Stewart's guard.
House lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Stewart is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but House pulls his head out easily.

House can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Stewart is looking to escape.

Stewart shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Stewart was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Stewart stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet.
House shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Stewart as he jumps to the side.
Stewart looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Stewart tries to clinch up but House circles away and keeps his distance.
Stewart slaps away a takedown attempt from House, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Stewart misses with a few strikes there.
Stewart shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as House sprawls well. House wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Stewart gets slowly back to his feet.
Nick House is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Stewart tries to score a power double leg takedown but House sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Stewart somewhat.
House shoots in for a takedown but Stewart shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

House goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Stewart turns into him and now he's in House's guard.

Donald Stewart comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Stewart has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
