The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mitrione bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Prince's head.
It looks like Tyson Prince has been cut.
Prince misses with a takedown attempt
and Mitrione counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Prince takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Prince looks gassed!
Mitrione connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mitrione drops Prince with a beautiful combination! Prince stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Mitrione is looking for the KO!
Mitrione feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Prince sprawling to the canvas! Prince rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Mitrione finish him?!
Prince is rocked!
That has opened up Tyson Prince's cut even more.
Prince is holding his hands too far apart here. Mitrione throws a hard, straight punch right down the pipe and BOOM! Prince is out! That punch landed square on the jaw - what a shot!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Matt Mitrione!
Matt Mitrione tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
