Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Zygi Lofs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dallas Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Zygi Lofs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dallas Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Alan Glass and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson fails to land with a series of punches.
Jackson fails with a takedown attempt.
Jackson looks for a takedown but Lofs sprawls well.
Lofs shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jackson defends it nicely.
Jackson shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Jackson throws a sloppy head kick and Lofs moves out of range easily.

and Lofs counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Lofs.
Zygi Lofs has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dallas Jackson.

Dallas Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lofs closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Jackson did well to prevent Lofs getting side control.

Jackson is trying to maintain the position but Lofs is very close to passing his half guard.

Lofs thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Lofs has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Lofs stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Jackson misses with a head kick.

Jackson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Jackson throws the left hand but Lofs avoids the punch easily.
Jackson scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Lofs doesn't seem bothered though.
Jackson feints a jab promting Lofs to slip. Jackson then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Lofs slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Lofs is trying hard to land a takedown here. Jackson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Lofs fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jackson sprawls well initially but Lofs persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Lofs shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jackson as he jumps to the side.
Lofs shoots in for a double leg but Jackson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Lofs has a takedown stuffed.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zygi Lofs. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jackson misses with a head kick.
Jackson throws a series of punches but Lofs moves out of range.

and Lofs decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Jackson's guard.

Jackson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lofs can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Lofs takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Lofs shoots in for a double leg but Jackson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Lofs as he avoids it easily.
Jackson dives in and grabs Lofs's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lofs pushes down on Jackson's head and hops out.
Jackson is breathing heavily.
Jackson shoots in but Lofs avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Jackson fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Lofs takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Lofs shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Lofs was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Lofs postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Jackson looks a forlorn figure.

Lofs sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Jackson tries to reverse the position but Lofs maintains control.
Lofs in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Lofs takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Lofs looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Lofs gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Jackson slaps away a takedown attempt from Lofs, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Jackson shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Lofs eats them both and turns towards Jackson to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jackson scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Lofs doesn't seem bothered though.
Jackson throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Nice takedown defense from Lofs. No joy for Jackson on that attempt.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jackson thuds his right hand into Lofs's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Jackson lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Zygi Lofs will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Lofs manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Jackson on his heels. He'll look to pass Jackson's guard now, I'm sure.

Jackson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Lofs defends it easily.

Horrible takedown by Jackson or perhaps it was just good defense by Lofs which made him look bad.
Lofs will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Jackson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lofs avoids it really well and circles away.
Jackson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Jackson's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Jackson duly obliges.
Jackson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lofs circles away quickly and effectively.

Jackson gets caught napping as Lofs dives in and scores a takedown. Jackson manages to retain guard.

Lofs controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Zygi Lofs overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Lofs stands and steps away. Jackson gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Jackson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Lofs circles away.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Jackson is trying to pull guard but Lofs has him pressed against the cage.

Lofs escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jackson scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

Jackson gets caught flat footed, as Lofs shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Zygi Lofs showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Lofs, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
