Doerner has chosen Balls to the Wall by Accept as his entrance music. Helmut Doerner has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Micah Kehoe's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Micah Kehoe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Helmut Doerner!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Igor Prikhodko and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doerner tries to clinch but Kehoe moves out of range.

Doerner shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Doerner wants to pass the guard but Kehoe is keeping the position.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Doerner accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Doerner has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Kehoe is proving hard to escape from.

Kehoe kicks Doerner off and gets to his feet.
Kehoe lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Kehoe.

Doerner tries for a takedown but Kehoe circles away easily
and Kehoe counters with a straight right hand.

Doerner wants to clinch.
Doerner needs to keep his hands up - Kehoe had a free shot at his head there.

Kehoe pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Doerner shoots in for a double leg but Kehoe sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Doerner wants to clinch up but Kehoe keeps it at a distance.
Doerner is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kehoe sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Micah Kehoe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Helmut Doerner.
Doerner shoots in but Kehoe avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Doerner looks gassed!

Kehoe gets caught napping as Doerner dives in and scores a takedown. Kehoe manages to retain guard.
Kehoe wants to stand and escape but Doerner is having none of it.

Doerner's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Doerner looking to sit in guard and control but Kehoe gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Helmut Doerner has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Kehoe cracks a nice hook into Doerner's ribs.
Doerner shoots for a double leg takedown but Kehoe sprawls well. He's pushed Doerner's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Kehoe fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Doerner, pushing him back against the cage.

Kehoe breaks the clinch.

Doerner shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Kehoe misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Kehoe rushes Doerner and presses him up against the cage.
Kehoe throws a knee to the head but misses.

Kehoe pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Kehoe is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Doerner throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kehoe's waist but Kehoe gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Doerner off to one side.
Doerner moves in looking to clinch but Kehoe pushes him off.

Doerner closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kehoe did well to prevent Doerner getting side control.

Kehoe wants to get back to his feet.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Kehoe kicks off Doerner and gets to his feet.
Doerner fails in his attempt to clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Micah Kehoe will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Doerner throws a lazy right hand but Kehoe sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Doerner closes the distance and clinches.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Kehoe.
Doerner is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Kehoe to keep the fight standing.

and Kehoe counters with a left and a right that stings Doerner.
Kehoe swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Doerner tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kehoe swats him away and circles back towards the center.
The fight stays on the outside here - Doerner looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Doerner shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kehoe pinned against the cage. Kehoe gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Doerner is looking to clinch but Kehoe is avoiding it.

Doerner tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kehoe paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Kehoe really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Kehoe shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Doerner eats them both and turns towards Kehoe to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Horrible takedown by Doerner or perhaps it was just good defense by Kehoe which made him look bad.

Kehoe escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Sloppy strikes from Doerner. Those never looked like landing.
Micah Kehoe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kehoe rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Doerner moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

and Kehoe scores with a counter punch that sends Doerner to the canvas! Kehoe smells blood - he's punishing Doerner with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Doerner has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:43 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Micah Kehoe!
