Overeem has chosen Drowning Pool - Bodies (Let The Bodies Hit The Floor) as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Cees Overeem is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Overeem fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Overeem cracks Backer with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Backer looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Overeem finish him?

It looks like Thad Backer has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Backer tries to keep at a distance but Overeem has taken the fight into the clinch.
