Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aku Zoku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zangief Hakkarainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hakkarainen is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by HellYeah. Zangief Hakkarainen will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hakkarainen throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Zoku sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Zoku changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hakkarainen looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hakkarainen can do anything to dispel that myth.
Zoku tries to score with some ground and pound. Hakkarainen controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Zoku moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Zoku grinds an elbow into Hakkarainen's temple.
Hakkarainen is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Zoku is controlling him well.

Zoku cracks Hakkarainen with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Zoku has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Hakkarainen's face.

Zoku has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
