Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Benoit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wolfgang Wyldblood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Benoit comes to the cage accompanied by Ugly. The crowd seem to be enjoying Wyldblood's choice of entrance music: Bark at the Moon by Ozzy Osbourne. Wolfgang Wyldblood is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Benoit fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Wyldblood sprawls well initially but Benoit persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Benoit wants to stand up but Wyldblood has a hold of him and won't allow it.

Benoit might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Chris Benoit just wasn't active enough.

Benoit could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Benoit has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Chris Benoit.

Benoit working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Wyldblood doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Wyldblood manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Wyldblood postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Benoit looks a forlorn figure.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Wyldblood is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Benoit to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Benoit shrugs it off.
Wyldblood takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Benoit wants to hold on but Wyldblood pushes him away.

Benoit sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Wyldblood seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Wyldblood wants to lay and pray for a moment but Benoit keeps working.
Wyldblood wants to free his trapped foot but Benoit is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Wyldblood looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Benoit with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Well Wyldblood has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
