PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jackson Jameson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joca Fenomeno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jameson looks to throw the jab but Fenomeno is out of range.
Fenomeno fails to land the takedown.

Jameson shoots in but Fenomeno avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Fenomeno moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Jameson has worked his arm free - good work by Jameson!
Jameson parries the strikes from Fenomeno easily there. Fenomeno is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Jameson to escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jameson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Fenomeno wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Fenomeno looks up at the clock and then as Jameson takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Fenomeno smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Fenomeno thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Jameson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Fenomeno sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jameson somewhat.

Jameson wants to control from the top but Fenomeno keeps moving.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Fenomeno looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jameson is fending him off so far but Fenomeno persists. Nope, Jameson circles away and we're back to standing.

A frustrated look appears on Fenomeno's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Fenomeno jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jameson walks away with a smile on his face. Fenomeno gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Jameson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jameson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Fenomeno bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jameson's guard.

Jameson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Fenomeno smiles and moves away.

Fenomeno shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jameson as he jumps to the side.

Jameson is trying to drag Fenomeno to the mat but Fenomeno just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Well Fenomeno has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
