Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hulk Hogan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brett McConomy!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McConomy looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hogan is fending him off so far but McConomy persists. Nope, Hogan circles away and we're back to standing.

McConomy gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Hogan looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Hogan advances to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hogan keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
McConomy tries to get to full guard but Hogan has control of the leg.

McConomy looking for submissions off his back.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Hogan is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Hogan passes to full mount!

McConomy looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
Hogan has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of McConomy's body.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hogan is trying to stick to McConomy's back but McConomy is turning into Hogan. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Hogan's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by McConomy.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
McConomy stopping the sweep attempt from Hogan.
McConomy is fighting to break Hogan's control of his arms but Hogan is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Hogan keeping moving, preventing McConomy from controlling successfully.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Hogan shoots in and bounces McConomy off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Hogan drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and McConomy dives on top into guard.
Hogan trying to keep a closed guard but McConomy is proving a slippery customer.
McConomy pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hogan is keeping the position for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

McConomy trying to control the position from guard on top but Hogan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hogan pulls McConomy in to control the position.
McConomy passes Hogan's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Hogan is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but McConomy pulls his head out easily.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Hogan is refusing to be controlled, as McConomy sits in half guard.

McConomy is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Hogan is not content to let McConomy control the position.

McConomy is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
McConomy wants to stand but Hogan is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.
McConomy thowing shots but they're missing.

McConomy is trying to stand up but he's being controlled by his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Brett McConomy will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


McConomy tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hogan swivels and escapes.

Hogan gets a takedown into half guard.

Hogan is looking for a kimura but McConomy is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Hogan to get the leverage.
McConomy is trying to stand back up but Hogan is controlling him
McConomy is trying to get back to full guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.

McConomy actively working from the bottom here.
McConomy is trying to control but can't.
McConomy makes his way to full guard. A much better position for McConomy.
Hogan trying to control the position from guard on top but McConomy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

McConomy escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hogan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Hogan advances position into side control!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Hogan goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, McConomy rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Hogan's guard! Nice work there by McConomy!

And that's the end of the fight!
Hulk Hogan showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Hogan has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
