Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Henry Ngo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cup Tea (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Henry Ngo had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Henry Ngo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Cup Tea!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Eliza Hachem and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ngo shoots in for a takedown but Tea shows good takedown defense.

Ngo shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Tea napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Tea is looking for a sweep.

Ngo decides to stand back up.
Ngo looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Tea tries to clinch but Ngo is having none of it.

Tea lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Tea misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Ngo.

Ngo tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Ngo has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Tea tries to bench press Ngo off him but Ngo keeps the position.
Tea parries the strikes from Ngo easily there. Ngo is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Tea to escape.
Tea manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Ngo drops an elbow to the side of Tea's head.

Tea has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ngo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Tea is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ngo defends well.

Ngo throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Tea was covering up waiting for the punch and Ngo finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Ngo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Cup Tea showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Ngo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tea tries to avoid it but Ngo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tea to the ground. Tea escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Tea moves in looking to clinch but Ngo pushes him off.

and Tea counters with a nice uppercut.
Tea changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ngo tries to avoid it but Tea manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ngo to the ground. Ngo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Tea avoids the head kick by Ngo.
Tea keeps the fight on the outside.
Tea cracks Ngo with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Ngo keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Tea drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Tea swings around for an armbar but Ngo sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Tea's guard.

Tea wants to hold on but Ngo pushes him away.

Tea might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Ngo kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Ngo scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Tea tries to reverse the position but Ngo maintains control.

Tea is looking to improve his position but Ngo isn't that keen on the idea.
Ngo connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Tea is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Tea wants to control but Ngo is having none of it.
Tea takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Ngo tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Tea tries to lock up and control but Ngo gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

And that's the end of the fight!

I think Ngo has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
