Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Homer Simpson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yevgeniy Petrovich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Homer Simpson could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Yevgeniy Petrovich's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Homer Simpson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Yevgeniy Petrovich!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Anni Minnemäki and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petrovich walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Simpson rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Petrovich counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Simpson's guard now.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Petrovich has gone for a leg lock! Simpson slips out almost immediately though and dives into Petrovich's guard.
Simpson tries to free his leg and advance position but Petrovich is retaining full guard.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Simpson looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Homer Simpson wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Petrovich avoids the body shot from Simpson.
Simpson throws a sloppy body shot
and Petrovich counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Simpson's guard now.
Petrovich won't allow Simpson to sweep him here.
Petrovich postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Simpson is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Petrovich, into his guard.
Petrovich is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Petrovich working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Simpson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Simpson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Simpson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Petrovich keeping moving, preventing Simpson from controlling successfully.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Homer Simpson wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Simpson fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Petrovich looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Horrible takedown by Petrovich or perhaps it was just good defense by Simpson which made him look bad.
Petrovich ducks right into an uppercut from Simpson.
Simpson bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Petrovich's head.
Simpson is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Simpson connects with a good right hand that stumbles Petrovich. Petrovich circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Simpson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Petrovich.
Simpson throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Simpson's jab looks to have found its range, popping Petrovich under the eye.
Simpson bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Petrovich's head.
Petrovich gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Simpson gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Homer Simpson!
