Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Allan Starsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shannon Mondello (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Starsky comes into the arena with Sabaton - 40 : 1 blaring out of the sound system. Allan Starsky could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Shannon Mondello's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mondello clinches up with Starsky and pushes him back against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Mondello's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Starsky blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Mondello misses with an elbow over the top.
Mondello creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Mondello pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Starsky slips a jab and a cross from Mondello.
Mondello tries to bum rush Starsky with a series of wild strikes but Starsky uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Starsky lands a nice shot to the body.
Starsky lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

and Starsky counters with a stiff right hand.
It looks like Shannon Mondello has been cut.
Mondello has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Starsky finds it's way round the side to connect with Mondello's head.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Starsky fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Mondello on the side of the head.

and Starsky lands a stunning uppercut that sends Mondello to the mat!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Starsky is trying to control the action in half guard but Mondello is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Starsky is pressing down on Mondello's thigh, looking to free his foot. Mondello is holding on for now.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Starsky throws a strike but Mondello rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Mondello is fighting to break Starsky's control of his arms but Starsky is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
