Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alaois Nolan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Bomba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nolan kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Eminem - Lose Yourself. Bomba has chosen Dare You to Move by Switchfoot as his entrance music. Jack Bomba has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jack Bomba!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Donatello Bradman and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nolan scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Bomba tries a head kick but it misses.

Bomba gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Nolan to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Nolan is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Alaois Nolan.
Bomba shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Nolan throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Bomba was covering up waiting for the punch and Nolan finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Nolan feints and as Bomba raises his hands in defense, Nolan changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bomba is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Nolan is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Bomba is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

and Nolan counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Nolan is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Nolan avoids the head kick by Bomba.
Bomba lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Jack Bomba is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

and Nolan counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Nolan keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Bomba's efforts to push away.

Nolan has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Bomba is trying to keep an underhook but Nolan manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Nolan is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Bomba!

Nolan is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Bomba has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Nolan is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Bomba to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Bomba shrugs it off.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Alaois Nolan dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Bomba tries a head kick but it misses.

Nolan closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Nolan misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Nolan bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Bomba struggling a bit here.

Nolan is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Bomba has escaped the position, nice work there.

Nolan is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Bomba will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Bomba wants to control but Nolan postures up.
Nolan misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Bomba parries the strikes from Nolan easily there. Nolan is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Bomba to escape.

Bomba throws the kick towards the body but Nolan avoids it.

Nolan shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Bomba keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Bomba is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Bomba tries to hold on but Nolan postures up.

Bomba is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Nolan controlling the pace for now.
Alaois Nolan is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Nolan has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Jack Bomba has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Alaois Nolan showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Nolan, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
