PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Litran Kossu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Power White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kossu comes to the ring accompanied by Holy Diver - Dio. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Power White was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Litran Kossu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Power White!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Edson Gomes and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kossu blocks a head kick by White.
Kossu showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from White.
Kossu throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Kossu shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. White is trying to defend but Kossu finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Kossu looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Kossu is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so White is just riding it out for now. Kossu eventually gives up the hold.
White is looking for a sweep. Kossu is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
White won't allow Kossu to pass to mount.
Kossu is working hard here to advance position.
Kossu looks to land a strike but White avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kossu throwing strikes from guard but White blocks nicely.
Kossu stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. White swivels though and keeps the full guard.

White is trying to keep Kossu in close.
White really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kossu. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Kossu wants to pass the guard but White is keeping the position.
Kossu is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Kossu wants to control from the top but White keeps moving.

Power White has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

White is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Kossu might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Kossu is working White over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

White might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Kossu kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Power White was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Kossu punishes White's body with a nice straight punch.
Kossu throws a quick head kick that skims the top of White's head.

Kossu throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Power White seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Some bone on bone action there as Kossu checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
White pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
White throws a body kick that misses.
White feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Kossu's calf.
Kossu looks to land a right hand but White moved out of range.
Kossu ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

enabling Kossu to counter with a crisp jab.
White lands a jab to the head.
White steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kossu.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
White tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Kossu is able to avoid easily.
White moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kossu throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Kossu throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
White tries to land a leg kick but Kossu saw it coming and moves away.
White wants to slow Kossu down by chopping away at his legs.
Kossu tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Kossu lands with a nice body punch.
White throws a hook to the side of Kossu's head but Kossu sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
White attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Kossu steps to the side to avoid the strikes from White.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Nice defenses there by White.

Kossu shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. White manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Kossu advances to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Litran Kossu dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Kossu tried to score with a low kick but White checks it.
Kossu scores with a jab.
White scores with a punch to the head.
White throws out a leg kick but Kossu moves out of range and White only half commits.

Kossu wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Kossu comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Kossu moves out of range as White throws a body kick.
A clash of legs there as Kossu blocks the low kick.

and Kossu counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Kossu tries a low kick but White avoids it.

White fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Kossu lands with a right hand.
White tries to score with a low kick but Kossu moves his leg out of the way.
Donk. White catches Kossu right on the button with a cross.
White throws a nice outside leg kick.
White throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kossu.
Kossu slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Kossu shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Kossu wants to control but White is keeping him busy.
White is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Kossu thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed White's head.

Kossu is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, White has managed to free his arm - good work.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
White tries to roll over but Kossu keeps him under control.
Kossu thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Kossu thows a huge punch but White dodges it nicely.

White is not content to let Kossu control the position.

Kossu is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

White is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Kossu is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Kossu is working for a kimura but White is defending it quite comfortably.

Kossu has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Kossu lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
White wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Kossu.

White tries to hold on but Kossu postures up.
Kossu lands with some vicious ground and pound - can White hang on?


White is rocked!
Oooh a big shot lands for Kossu! White is out! The ref dives in to save him from more punishment!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Litran Kossu!
After winning the bout, Litran Kossu thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
