The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Dudd defends it nicely.

Thompson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Dudd looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Thompson tries to advance to mount but Dudd denies him.
Thompson sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Dudd is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Thompson tries to move to mount but Dudd blocks the move with his legs.
An elbow from Thompson crashes against the mat.
Dudd managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Thompson.
Thompson working the ground and pound from side control.
Dudd sneaks back into half guard.
Dudd has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Thompson is working away from the top position though.

Thompson thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Dudd manages to get to full guard.

Dudd is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Thompson has his hands clasped together but Dudd extends an breaks Thompson's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Dudd.
