Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Morel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Spencer Oswell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jeff Morel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Spencer Oswell!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Hirohito Nitta and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morel throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
enabling Oswell to counter with a crisp jab.
Oswell throws a nice looking combination but Morel bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Oswell slips a jab and a cross from Morel.
Morel tries for a takedown but Oswell circles away easily
and Oswell counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Morel misses with a wild combination.
Morel needs to keep his hands up - Oswell had a free shot at his head there.
Morel throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Morel swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Oswell counters with a straight right hand.
Morel throws a right and a left that both miss.

Oswell misses with a wild body shot.
Spencer Oswell is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Oswell misses with a two punch combination.
Oswell throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Oswell lands a two punch combo.
Morel throws a left and a right that both miss
and Oswell counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Morel throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Oswell counters with a right hand to the body.
Morel tries to score a power double leg takedown but Oswell sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Morel somewhat.

enabling Oswell to counter with a crisp jab.
Oswell swinging wildly here.
Morel throws a right and a left that Oswell avoids nicely.
Oswell ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Oswell jabs Morel to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Morel is breathing heavily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Oswell moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Oswell throws a right and a left that both miss.
Oswell uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Morel has time to react.
Spencer Oswell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Morel tries to bum rush Oswell with a series of wild strikes but Oswell uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Morel shoots for a double leg takedown but Oswell sprawls well. He's pushed Morel's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jeff Morel. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Oswell lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Oswell is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Morel had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Oswell throws a series of punches but Morel moves out of range.
Morel swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Morel takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Oswell scores with a nice head shot.
Oswell lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Oswell connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Morel momentarily.

Morel takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Oswell is pawing at Morel, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Morel's nose. Morel is badly hurt! Oswell pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Morel tries desperately to hold on but Oswell is relentless in his assault! As Morel receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Oswell away and this one is in the books!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Spencer Oswell!
A very excited looking Spencer Oswell made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
