Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ezekiel Flores!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kaizer Shoze!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Ian Loll and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shoze swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Shoze shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Flores but Flores pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Flores scores with a decent looking hook.
Flores uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Shoze closes this distance looking for a takedown but Flores circles away.
Flores bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Shoze's head.
Shoze misses with a head kick.
Flores lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Shoze circles away quickly and effectively.
Nice straight punches there by Flores. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Flores.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Shoze takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Flores throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

and Flores counters with a nice uppercut.
Ezekiel Flores has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kaizer Shoze.

Flores decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Flores's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Shoze is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Ezekiel Flores has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Shoze shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Shoze takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Flores takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Shoze is bucking up trying to escape but Flores cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Flores fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Shoze checks it well.

and Shoze counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Shoze enables Flores to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Shoze manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Shoze wants to control the position but Flores says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Shoze takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Flores content to control rather than advance.
