Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gethin Poacher!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lamar Bryant!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Steve Erwin and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Poacher misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Bryant.
Poacher has his takedown stuffed
and Bryant counters with a two punch combo.
Poacher fails with the takedown
and Bryant holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Bryant goes for a takedown attempt but Poacher pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Poacher throws a lazy head kick
and Bryant counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Bryant.
Poacher pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Poacher tries to keep at a distance but Bryant has taken the fight into the clinch.
Poacher manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Poacher utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Bryant has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Poacher to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Bryant is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Poacher pulls down on the head and he's put Bryant to sleep! This one is all over!
