Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andy McFandy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Propect (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Andy McFandy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joe Propect!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Hugh Johnson and John Mangel.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McFandy doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Propect fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. McFandy looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Propect cracks McFandy with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
McFandy will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Propect looks to land a combination. McFandy sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

McFandy moves into range and clinches up with Propect.
Propect tries to work over McFandy's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Propect stalling.

Propect pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
McFandy has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from McFandy there as he acknowledges the shot.
Nice defenses there by McFandy.
Propect throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
This has been an exciting period of action!
McFandy gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and McFandy takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Propect throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Propect misses with a jab to the body

and McFandy holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Propect misses with a shot to the kidneys.
McFandy tries to score a body lock takedown but Propect shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andy McFandy. That's going to take a lot out of him.

McFandy breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
McFandy slips a jab and a cross from Propect.
Propect goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Propect's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Propect duly obliges.
McFandy shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Propect pinned against the cage. Propect gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

McFandy clinches up against the cage.
Propect doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Propect working aggressively here.

McFandy pulls guard successfully.
Propect lands a couple of elbows.
Propect must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Propect working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

It looks like Andy McFandy has been cut.
Propect wanted to stand there but McFandy had control of the position.
Propect throws a big elbow that misses.

Propect wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of McFandy's closed guard. He's half up but McFandy has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! McFandy pivots and extends the arm, Propect falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by McFandy! Well done that man!
