Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jon Snow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jack Black has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jon Snow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jack Black!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Hugh Johnson and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Snow bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Snow misses with a body shot.
Black fails to land with a series of punches.
A head kick misses from Black.
Black throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Sloppy strikes from Black. Those never looked like landing.
Snow lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Black circles away quickly and effectively.
Black misses with a series of wild punches.
Black misses with a head kick.
Black avoids the body shot from Snow.

Black decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Snow keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Black working over Snow with some ground and pound. Snow looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Snow is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Snow wants to control but Black is keeping busy.
Snow regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Black.

Black throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Black content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Black distracts Snow with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Black must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Black drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Snow manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Black has Snow in his guard.
Snow looking to sit in guard and control but Black gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Black lands a couple of elbows.

Black working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Snow's head.
Snow keeping full guard, as Black tries to pass.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Black stands up over Snow, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Snow has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Black can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Black throws a big elbow that misses.
Black trying to control but Snow is working from the bottom.
Snow is adopting a defensive guard.
Black tries to free his leg and advance position but Snow is retaining full guard.

Black working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Black wants to pass the guard but Snow is keeping the position.
Black trying to control the position from guard on top but Snow is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Black stands up over Snow, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Snow looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Black accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Snow is trying to control the position but Black postures up.
Black stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Snow swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Black decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Snow, up you get!
Black uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Snow.
Snow fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Snow avoids a punch combination nicely.
Black takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Black fails to land with a series of punches.
Black lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Snow lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Black keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jack Black dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


A looping hook to the body misses from Snow. Black does a little dance to reset his feet.
Jack Black seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Black shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Snow sprawls well. Snow wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Black gets slowly back to his feet.
Black misses with a few strikes there.
Black shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Black shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Snow manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Snow working for a triangle but Black defends it easily.
Black throws a big elbow that misses.
Jack Black has got the better of the ground game so far.
Snow manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Black tries to buck Snow off but he can't manage it.

Snow avoids the attempt from Black to control.

Snow is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Black is surviving well by controlling Snow's body position as best he can.
Snow looking to control but Black is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Snow avoids the attempt from Black to control.
Snow in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

Snow with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Snow jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Black manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Black is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Black is trying to control Snow's posture but Snow avoids it.

Snow tries for a kimura but Black is defending well.
Black is looking to regain half guard here but Snow keeps moving and retains side control.

Snow tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Black is looking for a sweep.

Snow thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Black gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Snow seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Black does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Black tries to kick Snow off but Snow keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Snow looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Black makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Black is defended easily by Snow.
Jon Snow has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Black.
Snow looks to score with a jab to the body but Black is just out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jon Snow dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Black throws out a powerful jab.
Black throws a sloppy head kick and Snow moves out of range easily.
Black slips a jab and a cross from Snow.
Snow shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Black as he jumps to the side.
Black dives in and grabs Snow's left leg, looking for a takedown. Snow pushes down on Black's head and hops out.
Black throws a right hand that Snow ducks under and follows up with a left that Snow also avoids with ease.
Black throws a big shot that misses.
Snow fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Snow throws a one two combo.


It looks like Jack Black has been cut.
Black throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Snow's waist but Snow gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Black off to one side.
Black keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Snow lands a nice shot to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Snow shoots in but Black avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Black takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Black throws a right and a left that Snow avoids nicely.

Black misses with a series of wild punches.
Snow tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Black was well out of range. Poor timing from Snow.
Black swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Snow throws a body punch but Black moves out of range.
Black shoots for a double leg takedown but Snow sprawls well. He's pushed Black's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Jon Snow has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Black.

Snow swings for the body but Black moves out of range.
Snow is looking to wear down Black with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Snow scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Black takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Black on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Snow swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Black avoids the body shot from Snow.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Snow, as that shot connected.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Black lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Snow circles away quickly and effectively.
Snow throws a series of strikes that have Black backpedaling.
Snow with a hook.
Black goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Jack Black is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Snow throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Snow ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Black moves away.
Black shoots and misses
and Snow cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Black moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Snow thuds a left hand into Black's body.
Snow misses with a wild body shot.
Jon Snow is winning the standup battle so far.
Snow fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Snow throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Snow connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Snow displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Black throws out the jab.
Black jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Black takes one on the button.
Snow misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Black.
Snow tests Black's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Snow moves into range and connects with a jab.
Snow throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Snow!
Black lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Snow bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Black has a takedown stuffed.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Snow works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Black avoids the body shot from Snow.
A lazy left from Snow finds it's target.
Snow with a nice cross.

Black darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Snow regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Black.

Snow has his feet on Black's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Black throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Black pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Snow back to the cage. Black follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Snow keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Nice shot lands for Snow.
Donk. Snow catches Black right on the button with a cross.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jon Snow showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Snow has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
