Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fjodor Fedja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Power (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fedja comes to the cage accompanied by The Sex Pistols - Anarchy in the UK . The crowd seem to be enjoying Power's choice of entrance music: X gonna give it to ya - DMX. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 14 - 1, fighting out of London, Fjodor Fedja!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 21 - 0, fighting out of London, Thomas Power!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Colin Fotheringham and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fedja connects with a crisp jab.


It looks like Thomas Power has been cut.

Fedja shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Power's guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Fedja trying to control but Power is working from the bottom.
Power is trying to keep Fedja in close.
Fedja wants to stand but Power has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Power is looking to stand up but Fedja isn't so interested in that idea.
Fedja slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Fjodor Fedja.
Fedja fails with a takedown attempt.

Fedja tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Power counters with a single leg into guard. Fedja didn't expect that.

Fedja is looking for a triangle but Power pushes his legs off easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fedja has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Power is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Fedja.

Power decides to stand up, so the ref orders Fedja to his feet.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Fedja scores with a nice head shot.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Fedja jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Fedja throws a right hand that misses

and Power counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Power.
Power tries to break free but Fedja pushes him back against the cage.

Fedja works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Power has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Fedja can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Fedja wants to control from the top but Power keeps moving.
Fedja won't allow Power to get back to his feet.

Power keeping moving, preventing Fedja from controlling successfully.

Fedja stands up from Power's guard - Fedja perhaps looking for a knockout.
A big right from Fedja misses.

Power darts in and clinches Fedja up against the cage.
Fedja is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Power to keep the fight standing.
Fedja blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Power dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
Fedja jumps guard but Power turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fjodor Fedja. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Fedja jumps guard but Power stands there with Fedja around his waist. Fedja gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Power is looking to control Fedja's arms but Fedja gets an underhook and turns him. Now Power has his back to the cage.
Power throws a punch but it's blocked by Fedja.
Fedja wants a takedown but no success here.
Power's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Power throws a head punch that misses.
Power leaning his opponent against the cage.
Fedja is trying to pull guard but Power turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Fedja can't get the takedown.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Power lands a right hand that snaps the head of Fedja backwards.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Power.

Fedja pulls guard effortlessly.

Fedja has his foot on Power's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Power works his way back into a safe position though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Thomas Power's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Power with a lazy takedown attempt

and Fedja counters by moving into the clinch.
Power lands with a light punch inside.
Power prevents the takedown attempt.
Power lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Power scores with a shoulder strike.

Power breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Fedja tries for a takedown but Power circles away easily

and Power counters by moving into the clinch.
Fedja is trying to pull guard but Power has him pressed against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fjodor Fedja. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Fedja can't get the takedown.
Power stalling in the clinch but Fedja improves position.
Fedja is working for takedown but Power is calmly controlling the position for now.
Fedja tries to pull guard but Power forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Power's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Power shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Fedja napping and manages to drive through into side control!

and Fedja cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Fedja shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Power sprawls well. Power wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Fedja gets slowly back to his feet.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Power.

Fedja misses with an uppercut. Power saw that one coming.
Power shoots in for a takedown but Fedja shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Power looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Power shoots in for a double leg but Fedja sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Fedja fails in his attempt to clinch.

Power takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Fjodor Fedja is winning the standup battle so far.
Fedja throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Power sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Power uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Fedja.
Power takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.


That has opened up Thomas Power's cut even more.
Fedja thows a left - swing and a miss!
Power stuffs the takedown.
Fedja scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Power shoots in looking for a takedown. Fedja tries to sprawl out of it but Power keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Fedja manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Fedja misses with a looping right.
Power shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Fedja sprawls well. Fedja wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Power gets slowly back to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Power has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Fedja finds it's way round the side to connect with Power's head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Fedja's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!



Power closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Fedja's guard.

Fedja had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Power defends it easily.

Power gets to his feet. Fedja looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Fedja jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Fedja wants to clinch up but Power keeps it at a distance.
Fedja closes this distance looking for a takedown but Power circles away.
Fedja gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Power counters with a nice uppercut.

Power shoots for a double leg takedown but Fedja sprawls well. He's pushed Power's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Fedja throws a right hand that misses

and Power counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Fedja!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Power working the ground and pound effectively.
Fedja is trying to stand up.
Thomas Power has got the better of the ground game so far.
Fedja looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Fedja prevents Power from getting a body triangle.

Fedja rolls, trying to escape but Power keeps control of the position.

You can see the frustration on Fedja's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Fedja trying to control the position but Power manages to sink in the hooks.
Fedja looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Power has his opponent's back but Fedja is looking to stand. He manages to get to his feet and shakes off Power.
Power shoots in for a takedown but Fedja shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Fedja closes this distance looking for a takedown but Power circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fjodor Fedja. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Power clinches.

Power breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Power shoots in but Fedja avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Nice takedown defense from Power. No joy for Fedja on that attempt.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Power lands a right hand that snaps the head of Fedja backwards.

Thomas Power comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Fedja has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
