The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daniels misses with a double jab
and Cooperman counters with a two punch combo.
Daniels jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Cooperman scores with a jab. Daniels acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
A jab lands there for Cooperman.
Cooperman fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
John Cooperman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cooperman lands a left and a right that send Daniels crashing to the mat, dazed. Cooperman thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Daniels is rocked!
It looks like Jay Daniels has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Daniels is looking to land body kicks.
Cooperman ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Daniels connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Cooperman's hands.
Cooperman jabs at Daniels's body.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Cooperman dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Cooperman connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Daniels momentarily.
The fighters circle momentarily. Cooperman darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Oh Daniels is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Daniels misses with a body punch
and Cooperman counters with a right hand to the body.
Daniels is breathing heavily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cooperman is throwing punches like he's double parked. Oh my word! Huge right hand from Cooperman shuts the power down on Daniels. Lights out, game over! Cooperman is your winner.
