The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hammersmash misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Hammersmash drops Gunn with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Gunn looks back up at him and smiles so Hammersmash waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Gunn is rocked!
Hammersmash throws a right and a left that both miss.
Gunn is still on wobbly legs! Can Hammersmash finish him?
Hammersmash circles away from the clinch attempt.

Gunn seems to have recovered his senses.
Hammersmash fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gunn manages to avoid it.

Nice takedown defense from Gunn. No joy for Hammersmash on that attempt.
Hammersmash really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Hammersmash tries to clinch but Gunn moves out of range.
Hammersmash drops Gunn with a right and a left! Hammersmash comes rushing in but Gunn regains his composure and manages to keep Hammersmash in guard.

Gunn is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Gunn is pressed up against the cage. Hammersmash has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Gunn down to the mat. Gunn avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Keaton Hammersmash. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gunn tries to clinch but Hammersmash is having none of it.

Hammersmash throws a nice looking combination but Gunn bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Hammersmash misses with a takedown attempt - Gunn sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Hammersmash shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Gunn as he jumps to the side.

Gunn rushes Hammersmash and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Hammersmash wants to get back to striking at distance but Gunn won't allow it.

Hammersmash tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Gunn smiles and moves away.

Hammersmash changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gunn looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Hammersmash in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Hammersmash's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Hammersmash looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Gunn is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Hammersmash is controlling him well.

Hammersmash tries to move into full mount but can't pass Gunn's legs.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Hammersmash throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Gunn stumbling backwards into the cage! Gunn bounces back off the cage towards Hammersmash, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Hammersmash lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Hammersmash celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
