The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koscheck changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Thompson tries to avoid it but Koscheck manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Thompson to the ground. Thompson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Thompson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Koscheck takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
