The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leigh fakes the leg kick and cracks Wolf in the body.
Leigh is looking to score with low kicks.
Wolf closes this distance looking for a takedown but Leigh circles away.
Leigh tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Leigh connects with a high kick.
Leigh is looking to land body kicks.
Leigh ducks right into an uppercut from Wolf.

Wolf closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Leigh quickly recovers to half guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Wolf shoots in and drives through. Leigh sprawls well.

Wolf stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Leigh.

and Leigh counters with a nice low kick that buckles Wolf's knee momentarily.
Leigh lands with a nice body kick.
Wolf goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Leigh missing with a left hand there. Wolf was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Leigh lands a leg kick that knocks Wolf off balance momentarily.

Leigh dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Wolf. That did some damage!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Wolf shoots in but Leigh avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Wolf drops back, looking for a kneebar! Leigh looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Leigh looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Leigh!

Wolf tries to roll over but Leigh keeps him under control.
Wolf makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Wolf.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Bryan Leigh.

Leigh throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Wolf is breathing heavily.

Wolf shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Wolf was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Wolf misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Wolf wants to finish this one by submission but Leigh is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Wolf.
Wolf sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Leigh.
Wolf scores with a jab to the jaw.
Leigh drops his hands momentarily and Wolf takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Leigh bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Wolf's head.

Wolf misses with a takedown attempt - Leigh sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That kick from Leigh tenderised Wolf's leg. Wolf is trying to keep his angry face on.

Wolf is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Leigh is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Wolf takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Wolf is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Leigh knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Wolf tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Wolf has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Wolf goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Leigh has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Wolf but great work by Leigh.
The referee asks Leigh politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Leigh prefers to stall for the moment though.
Leigh tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Wolf gets back to half guard.
Wolf is looking for a sweep. Leigh is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
