Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Frank Trig (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Frank Trig!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brian Rogers!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trig shoots in but Rogers avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Trig gets caught napping as Rogers dives in and scores a takedown. Trig manages to retain guard.

Rogers throws a hook to the side of Trig's head but Trig sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Rogers shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Trig pinned against the cage. Trig gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Rogers stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Rogers throws a right and a left that Trig avoids nicely.
Rogers tries to score a power double leg takedown but Trig sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rogers somewhat.
Rogers throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Rogers stuffs the takedown attempt from Trig. Trig gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Trig. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rogers avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Rogers rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Trig counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Rogers really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Trig. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Trig is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Rogers is just riding it out for now. Trig eventually gives up the hold.

Rogers is trying to maintain the position but Trig is very close to passing his half guard.
Trig prevents Rogers from improving his position.
Trig is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Trig is looking to take a break and control but Rogers is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Trig passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Rogers!

That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Rogers looks to land a left hand but Trig moved out of range nicely.

Rogers shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Trig's guard.
Trig is looking to stand up but Rogers isn't so interested in that idea.

and Trig counters with a series of strikes. Rogers will be more careful next time no doubt.
Trig looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Rogers isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Trig stacks Rogers on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Trig!
Rogers tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

Trig is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Rogers has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Rogers!

Trig wants to stand and escape but Rogers is having none of it.
Trig wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Rogers manages to pass to side control.

Rogers is keen to just control but Trig is a slippery customer.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Trig seems a little lost for a moment, as Rogers dominates the positioning.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Brian Rogers.
I think Rogers has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
