Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Peter Walter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thurston Moore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thurston Moore will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Peter Walter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Thurston Moore!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, James Atkins and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moore misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Walter fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Moore, pushing him back against the cage.
Walter keeps control of Moore as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
A frustrated look appears on Moore's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Walter has Moore pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Walter pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Moore tumbling to the mat - Walter dives into Moore's guard.
Moore controls Walter momentarily but Walter frees himself.
Moore is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Moore wants to take a breather but Walter is having none of it.

Walter has his hands clasped together around Moore's back. He's all about the action.

Moore wants to take a breather but Walter is having none of it.
Moore is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Walter lands a couple of sideways elbows.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Walter lands with a thumping leg kick.
Moore throws an overhand right that lands on Walter's shoulder, as Walter tries to avoid the shot.

Walter throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Moore's waist but Moore gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Walter off to one side.

Walter closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Moore manages to get to full guard.
Walter advances position into side control!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Walter looking to break Moore's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Moore remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Walter will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Moore manages to reverse the position and now he's in Walter's guard. Nice work there by Moore.

Moore is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Walter gets his way!

Walter bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Walter tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Walter has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Walter drops back looking for a leg! Moore is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Moore manages to kick Walter off! Walter jumps back into Moore's guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Walter shoots for a double leg takedown but Moore sprawls well. He's pushed Walter's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Walter shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Moore's guard.

Walter seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Moore for as long as he can get away with.
Moore sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Peter Walter.
Moore tried to score with a low kick but Walter checks it.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
