The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Speed with a poor takedown
and Slice counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Slice takes a swing at Speed's ribcage but misses.
Slice lands a jab to Speed's midsection.
Slice fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Slice lands a jab to the head.
Slice swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Slice lands a slapping body shot.
Slice tries to score with a low kick but Speed moves his leg out of the way.
Slice throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Slice takes a swing at Speed's ribcage but misses.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Slice.

Slice looks to score with a jab to the body but Speed is just out of range.
Slice lands a nice hook to Speed's body. Speed takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Slice lands with a straight right. Speed didn't see that one coming.
Speed fails with the takedown
and Slice counters with a stiff right hand.
Slice swings for the body but Speed moves out of range.
Slice listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Slice throws a leg kick but Speed moved away.
Speed takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Speed shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Jimbo Slice has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryan Speed.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Speed is defended easily by Slice.
Slice misses the shot to the body.
Speed is trying desperately to land a takedown but Slice is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Speed.
Speed takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Slice listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Slice looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Slice lands with a shot to the body.
Slice lands a nice hook to Speed's body. Speed takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Speed shoots in looking for a takedown but Slice manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Speed's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Speed takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Jimbo Slice seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Slice cracks a nice hook into Speed's ribs.
Slice with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Speed drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Slice fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Speed looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Slice lands a right hook to the body.
Slice fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Speed shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Slice counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Speed looks gassed!

Slice dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Speed takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Slice stalks Speed and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Speed's face. Speed staggers backwards, shaken.
Slice cracks a nice hook into Speed's ribs.
Slice lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Slice throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Slice throws a leg kick but Speed sees it coming and moves out of range.
Speed with a poor takedown
and Slice counters with a right hand to the body.
Slice's jab looks to have found its range, popping Speed under the eye.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jimbo Slice dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Slice lands with a shot to the body.
Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Speed might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Slice has got the better of the exchanges.
Slice dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Slice wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Slice scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Slice scores with a hook to the body. Speed takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Slice lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Slice getting the better of the striking in that exchange.

Speed is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Slice is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Speed flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Speed is out cold! Slice holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
