Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Big John (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bala Bala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John comes into the arena with Roy Jones Jr. Must have forgot. blaring out of the sound system. Bala has chosen Tough at the top as his entrance music. Big John is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Big John!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bala Bala!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bala keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from John.
John looks to land a left hand but Bala moved out of range nicely.
John tries to land a front kick but Bala steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Bala ducks under a wild hook from John.
John tries for a takedown but Bala sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
John looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

John tries to sprawl but Bala drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Bala works his way into full mount!
Bala can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as John is looking to escape.

That's one minute gone in the round.
John holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Bala tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
John is squirming around, avoiding Bala's attempts to control the action.

Bala looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Bala looking to finish with strikes here!

Bala looking to control but John is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Bala misses with a head shot.
Bala throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for John because Bala loaded up on that one.
Bala can't control as he wanted to and John manages to get the fight back to his half guard.
Bala wants to control but John is keeping him busy.

Bala with the ground and pound but John uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Bala trying to control but John is working from the bottom.
Bala seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

John wants to stand but Bala is controlling the position.
Bala trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but John manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!

Bala is looking for a triangle but John pushes his legs off easily.
Bala utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Bala had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. John defends it easily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Bala looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Bala looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Bala is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. John is aware though and is defending well.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells John's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Bala has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
John scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Bala is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Bala escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. John gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

John throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Bala counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Bala advances to half guard.
Bala Bala has got the better of the ground game so far.

Bala is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Bala seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but John does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

John knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bala on the ground.

Bala is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Bala is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Bala wants to free his trapped foot but John is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Bala is keen to just control but John is a slippery customer.
Bala is just content to waste time from the top position. John takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Bala passes John's left leg - he's now in half guard.
John wants to get back to his feet.

Bala is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
John won't allow Bala to pass to mount.

Bala stands and throws John's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Bala tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Bala advances nicely into full mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bala Bala showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


John throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

John shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bala's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
John postures up in Bala's guard and throws a big left but Bala blocks it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

John throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Bala works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
John postures up and lands a big shot to Bala's brow.

Bala is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
John is refusing to be controlled, as Bala sits in half guard.

Bala is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Bala moves into full mount! John won't be happy about that!

Bala goes for an armbar but he's not got it… John turns into him and now he's in Bala's guard.

Bala escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. John gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Bala bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in John's guard.
Bala works a leg free and moves into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bala is pressing down on John's thigh, looking to free his foot. John is holding on for now.
Bala is stalling here. John is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Bala seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and John has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Bala takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bala on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Bala parries the strikes from John easily there. John is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Bala to escape.
Bala gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. John lands a nice short elbow.
Bala gets back to full guard.
John is looking to work some ground and pound but Bala has wrist control.

John avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bala lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for John!

Bala moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, John has worked his arm free - good work by John!

Bala is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but John is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Bala tries to advance to mount but can't.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
John wants to control but Bala postures up.
Bala is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down John's shoulder. That is not cool.
Big John has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Bala tries to advance to mount but John denies him.
Bala wants to lay and pray for a moment but John keeps working.
Bala Bala is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
John parries the strikes from Bala easily there. Bala is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable John to escape.

And that's the end of the fight!
Bala Bala comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Bala winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
